Bring Your Camera
I've had some pretty spectacular days of paintball ranging from days where I did extremely well to days where the group playing was just perfect to days where the weather was worthy of the cover of National Geographic. Unfortunately, many of these great days of paintball have kind of blurred together over time. But that's what I get because I never seem to be smart enough to remember the camera.I played one day on a home-built field in a mountain meadow. On the day I was there the mountain flowers were all blooming and so we literally had a field full of yellow and white waist-high flowers that made the scenery spectacular and smelled amazing as we crawled through them. Someone actually took a camera, but I don't have copies of the pictures, so it's almost as if it never happened. I've had other days where I've played great games with a friend before an illness made it impossible for him to play paintball any more, but I have no evidence of the adventure. My memories live on, but they definitely have faded with time. You'd think that someone who can remember to bring batteries, o-rings, spare parts, tools, extra masks, replacement ball detents and enough guns to equip a small army could just remember the camera. For some reason, I just haven't got that down even though it really should be high on my priority list.Bring Your Camera originally appeared on About.com Paintball on Monday, October 4th, 2010 at 18:34:04.Permalink | Comment | Email this paintball.about.com |
Are HydroTec Paintballs Going to Change the Industry?
I've written before about the HydroTec Paintballs that were recently announced. Curious to find out more, I contacted Paul Ciesiun who is the driving force behind their development and production and he was kind enough to answer some questions still had about the paintballs after scouring their site. While Paul's answers were definitely informative, I still don't know what to think about them. I guess in a few months I'll just have to play with them and find out.Are HydroTec Paintballs Going to Change the Industry? originally appeared on About.com Paintball on Sunday, October 31st, 2010 at 15:27:36.Permalink | Comment | Email this paintball.about.com |
