Another Manufacturer Signs on to .50 Caliber
Whether .50 caliber paintballs and paintball gear will catch on remains to be seen, but another manufacturer has bought into the idea. Kingman has announced the Spyder .50 line of equipment. It appears that they're planning on releasing similar guns to what they already have, just in the .50 caliber format.I'm still undecided whether I think the .50 caliber format is a good idea for paintball or if its just an attempt by manufacturers to get existing players to spend more money on new equipment. Either way, I'm very interested to see which other companies announce new .50 caliber gear and how much support is given to the smaller format.Another Manufacturer Signs on to .50 Caliber originally appeared on About.com Paintball on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 at 17:38:00.Permalink | Comment | Email this paintball.about.com |
Paintball Video For School
68 Caliber has a video featuring the Cal State Northride paintball team. It's a simple video, but it's a great summary of the sport and a good introduction for people who's never played. Plus, what better school project is there than working on paintball?Paintball Video For School originally appeared on About.com Paintball on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at 18:40:58.Permalink | Comment | Email this paintball.about.com |
The End of 2009
We're coming up on the end of 2009 and I must say that it's been an interesting year in the paintball world. From the collapse of the NPPL to end of countless local stores and fields, the paintball industry has been hit hard. Despite the financial insecurity, the paintball industry is moving forward. New fields are springing up and there's always room for a new manufacturer to step in and produce a better paintball gun. While many players have quit playing the sport this past year, thousands of others have taken it up.It's been a roller coaster ride of a year, but paintball is still a fun, exciting sport that is not going anywhere. Whatever happens to the industry, I know that I will still be playing it next year and during years to come. Here's to an exciting 2010.The End of 2009 originally appeared on About.com Paintball on Friday, December 25th, 2009 at 15:45:52.Permalink | Comment | Email this paintball.about.com |
